Challenge
LEMAN is a global logistics provider with a clear ambition: to grow while staying close to their customers. But like many freight forwarders, they faced a flood of booking requests arriving by email, PDF, and free-text formats. Each request had to be processed manually, taking valuable time and leaving room for human error.
Solution
LEMAN needed a way to handle a growing number of booking requests without increasing manual effort. Each request arrived in free-text formats such as email or PDF and required detailed data entry, validation, and error-checking. By using Flowform, our AI-powered process automation system, to automate the process and ensure higher accuracy with less time spent on routine work.
Automated Data Capture
Flowform automatically reads booking requests, extracts key details such as sender, recipient, dimensions, and reference numbers, and converts them into structured data. It also applies business rules and flags inconsistencies, reducing the need for manual oversight.
Faster & Smarter Processing
What once took up to 15 minutes per booking now averages just over 6 minutes – with best cases as low as 2–3 minutes. The process is no longer about checking for missing data but about solving logistics challenges and supporting customers.
Seamless System Integration
Flowform is orchestrated with Infrastructure-as-Code and was deployed directly into LEMAN’s Azure environment. It integrates with with existing systems, and ensures that data flows seamlessly from unstructured e-mail to transport management system (TMS).
